BAE Systems ensures that all its senior leaders undertake an annual performance and development review. This policy applies to the project and programme management team just as it does to other areas of the organisation. As part of its strategic review, including setting up a shared service centre in Europe, Diageo had a need to overhaul, reorganise and standardise its processes. A key element of this was to differentiate between global processes (identical across all markets), common processes (similar across all markets), and local processes (focused on specific markets).

Eurostar needed to become more responsive to changing markets and to translate strategic imperatives more quickly into operational reality. The successful result of our work with Eurostar was a set of clearly defined projects and programmes being managed by the best people, all working together towards a shared vision.

London Heathrow
London Heathrow had a legacy of numerous methodologies for project life-cycle assurance and governance. CITI’s consultants, using our proprietary models, facilitated LHR to bring about a significant change in the way it managed its projects, giving it clarity and consistency of delivery approach with the ability to tailor project assurance regimes.

Legal and general
In response to a rapidly changing business environment in their Individual Protection business, Legal & General needed to improve their capability to deliver change. CITI were tasked to outline an approach to assess their current change capability, benchmark this against similar organisations, and design a targeted development programme.

Non-working power stations are a heavy cost burden and can adversely impact the UK energy grid. RWE npower chose CITI to tailor and deliver a suite of project management courses and sponsor briefings with emphasis on driving a consistent, project management based approach to managing outages, to ensure the minimisation of costly downtime.
